Jylgaskin, check out the list on the 1st page of this BYC thread. For Welsies its been reported to be 25 weeks. This list is updated as new people post their 1st egg. http://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=231744

Never mind, I lost my last welsie to the possum last night. DH (And the D does not stand for dear today) said he shut the chickens up last night for me, but didn't. This morning I found half my last hen. This possum has driven me nuts for several months. I've managed to carch and move 4 young ones and the mother finialy, but this must be the old man and he is smart. He's avoided live traps and even leg holds that we set in desperation.

I'm so sorry. Why would he say he did, if he didn't? I've learned thru sad experience to Trust No-one. Ever. Even when I'm told, "yeah, I did" I find I have to check it myself. I've tried to accept what he says, but I end up being unable to relax until I've seen for myself. When I have to be away, I'm a total nag. Especially when I'm away :).
