Hey everyone!
I have Kalanchoe pups that I can mail out .... three varieties, a mystery mix of my three: Kalanchoe delagonesis (chandelier), and two other varieties. One is the very common mother-of-hundreds (thousands) and one is a rounder-leafed version of the same, called "Pregnant plant" at the nursery. I will look up the other two types and post, hopefully with photo this weekend...but I need to know who's interested--these pups need to be mailed soon. I grow them in pots indoors here in zone 7. Interesting plant--babies grow all along the leaf edges--and impossible to kill.
CLOSED: Have Mother-of-Hundreds (or Thousands) Pups
Hello! I would be interested : )
Kim
I would love to have a few.. Are you asking for a dollar or more or just postage??
Either ok, just wanting to know how much.
I'm interested also.
Christine
Since this is my first trade, I only ask for something small in return. I love succulents of any type, so .... if you have a leaf of anything fat & fleshy (lol) that you could mail to me in return, or a baby aloe, (or a baby of anything), that would be nice. My plan is to place these kalanchoe babies in a plastic snack bag, then mail inside a regular envelope with a 44-cent stamp; they should survive the journey. My postal address and d-mail are in the member list here. I will look yours up as well. Let's d-mail each other. If your babies don't survive, I can re-send.
I am interested also and have some neat succulents to trade with. I will dmail you with my contact info.
To everyone waiting for your Kalanchoe pup mix: I'm working on it; thanks for your patience .... there has been a death in the family. Please give me a few extra days. I'm going to close the thread but reopen later after I get the first shipments out. Thanks so much,
TJ
Just a suggestion, but your tiny plants would fare better in a cardboard CD mailer that is about 1/4" deep. I think they would be crushed in an envelope. The weight of the letters piled on top of your envelope would be too heavy, I think.

Thanks for the suggestion; part of my dilemma is figuring out what to pack them in. Definitely thinking of cardboard & bubble wrap.
Actually, these plants will be in the mail for 2-3 days only. You don't want them to be crushed or to slide around.
I would gently fold them up in a paper towel. Wad small marbles of newspaper, drop a few in the cd box first. Slide in the papertowel with plants in the center. Drop newspaper marbles down both sides of the plants. Put newspaper marbles on top of the plants. Close the box. Shake the box. If nothing moves at all--silence--it is ready to mail.
Hi, I was wondering when you'll send out the pups :>) I need to plan a trip to the PO to pick them up. I've got your seeds ready to send, so let me know. Thanks Christine
