This is from yesterday, October 15th. It has been a very wet, humid October here in the Houston area and my late crop of okra have been churning out enough pods for me, my wife, and my daughter to snack on every 5 days or so. My daughter really likes okra apparently and she eats them raw.
The bush provider bean harvest is meager but enough for the kids to eat for one meal.
The buttercup squash will be a first-time experience for us- I'm sure it will be delicious. I have one more on the vine that has yet to bet harvested.
Oh, and we harvested at least two of the okra pods in this pic a bit too late. At least part of them were good to eat, though!
