Mushroom season again

This guy, CJ does not like the rain at all. Last night he was going nuts barking at me and it was raining outside. First thought was he must have to go pretty bad for him to go out. When that happens he just goes out and walks around only under the over hang. Well CJ bolted out the door straight into the rain for 1/2 hour or so. ???? Dog comes back in soaking wet running around the house grrring at me. Spotted mushrooms out there this morning so mushroom season it is again.

Anyone here know their mushrooms? I don't have cows and I believe cows are needed for magic mushrooms but I'm not sure about that. The dog gets a kick out of these mushrooms and he is very picky on what mushrooms he will eat.

I know nothing about mushrooms, but CJ is precious !! I have mushrooms coming up all over my yard this time of year. I have no cows since they are not allowed in the city limits. I'll try to ge some pictures in the am to see if someone can give us an ID.

Back in my hippy days in gainesville it wasn't unheard of for me & some friends to visit the cows in the early morning ;-)

We have a guy that came to our farmers market with fresh chanterelles from spring right up through September. I haven't seen him lately so I guess they are out of season. People lined up to get them.
