I had a FAT seed pod on my Golden Lady it was from a pollination I did with Autum Treasure, The seed pod stem was very brown and it dropped from the branch on it's own, when I opened the pod the seeds are WHITE, I know they are supposed to be brown so what do I do now?

Doris

Plant them straight away ...you have nothing to lose ...I have read of gardeners having results from white seeds (i haven't done this myself 0 but have seen it on brug sites ...good luck with them.

Doris, That is a great cross. Chrissy is right. Some of our DGers have said they have had success with white seeds. It depends on the maturity of the seeds at the time the pod fell. I sure hope you get some seedlings out of it. Do you know how long the pod had been on the plant? I've read that the stems are more sensitive to cold than the pod.

the pod was at leat 3 months old and the stem had been getting browner every day, then it dropped off
