CLOSED: Visiting the zoo

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

We were visiting the zoo last week, and this bird obviously was, too. He was perched on top of the rocks in the lion display. He (or she) isn't an escaped resident of the zoo... He may have been looking for fish in the ponds there, or just passing through and decided to take a break. :-) Does anyone have an idea what he was?

The lions didn't look very interested. LOL

Thanks, everyone!

I think the Lion is more interested in what's behind the glass. :)

I think the men lions mostly just lay around waiting for a woman lion to bring them food. 8>)

That is interesting. I bet living near a water feature at the zoo is a pretty cushy set up. (It would be cool if there were a way to have indigenous birds to match the larger animals, though.)

Ahhh, the life of a man lion.
