Radermachera kunming 'Dwarf Tree Jasmine'

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

Here is another of my new babies.. Only one bloom but more coming. This is a picture of the tree and foilage. The flowers have a bright yellow throat and form in clusters. They are to be pink, but mine looks white. Maybe it will turn as it is open.

Here is a close up of the flower. They are said to get two inches big, we will see. Yo can see a small cluster of buds to the top right of the full plant pictured first.

I've never heard of them being pink--I've had two of these and the flowers were white with a yellow throat, and all the pictures I've seen of it have also been white with a yellow throat. Does yours smell really good? I've had two of them and one smelled absolutely fabulous, but the next one had a lot less scent.

The printout that I bought it from, from Logee's said the light pink 2" flowers have bright yellow throats, etc. Well, mine is white as can be and the yellow throat is there, it is crinkly and beautiful but there is a very slight odor. I thought maybe it would have to open further to omit the fragrance It also said it was grown for its highly frangrant flowers. HMMMMMMMM! Could be I have sinus problems????? :0

I have to say with the two plants I used to have I never saw even the faintest hint of pink so I think the color you have is what you're going to get. As far as the fragrance, the first one I had was absolutely gorgeous, the fragrance was very noticeable even if you weren't right next to the plant, but then it died and I got a second one, and I had to stick my nose into it in order to smell anything, and even then the fragrance was pretty faint. So I think the fragrance can vary from plant to plant. The ones that smell good smell really good though!

Hey, take a look at the pink buds, that must be the pink they talked about. I never noticed them on the first bud. YIPPEE.....pink as pink can be. Beautiful, but they open white and yellow. Unbeliveable. Don't you love how flowers can make you so happy and excited and it is such fun. What do people who do not grow things do with their lives?

I often wonder the same thing J. I cannot imagine how a person could be happy with out plants in their lives.

I bought it from TT in the past and it died very fast. I did not realize that Logee's has them. I have had good luck with their plants. May be I will try again. Thank you for sharing.
Anyone that has not discovered the joy of flowers or gardening is destined to live 'not so fulfilling' life.

If you want a larger one, Gardino sometimes has them too--I've had good luck with their plants as well.

Hi ecrane3,
