Hi there..briefly to start a new thread.
HIHIHI to new friends here and hugs to everyone from beautiful Washington state. Will tell more when I can type on a keyboard. I do not like this laptop for typing..
Here ( Mt. Rainier) is where we went yesterday after having breakfast with the family members that were leaving to go back home to ND, Minn, and Colorado, also the birthday gal, my dear favorite aunt. DD and I had a small map, plus a GPS, finally stopped at a WalMart and got a road atlas and still managed to take the wrong road several times. I dont think I could handle the road system around here, guess its okay once you get used to it..anyway, we finally made it there and the higher we got the colder it got. I never even thought of that possibility. Good thing it was chilly enough when we started out for the day to grab some sweat shirts but my hands sure were cold. Incredible sight, makes one feel so insignificant...absolutely beautiful country..
Here is one of the pictures I took. We were only about 4,000 ft high, there was a sprinkling of snow on the ground here and there and on the evergreen trees..it was so pretty. We couldnt have gone higher because the roads were already closed for winter. The highest one can drive would have been 6200 ft...the rest of the way to the top would have been by foot..LOL
No firmed plans for today..tomorrow will pick up DA and go downtown for some of the things to see/do there..suppose to start raining tomorrow for the rest of the week.
