Tomorrow morning at 9am I will be defending my dissertation. All of the people I have met on DG have been so supportive during my career here at Texas A&M. A big thank you to everyone, and I ask that you all keep your fingers crossed for me tomorrow.
Kim
OT: Tomorrow is the big day!
Kim. my fingers are crossed for you. Good luck!
Mine are double crossed.
I pray that all will go well, that you are relaxed, confident and a give a great defense.
(((Hugs)))) too Kim!!
Praying all goes well, you get lots of rest, and that you'll be able to recall all the info that you need to. You're going to do great!
Awesome Kim! Prayers that you will remain calm and go in there and knock their socks off!
Kim,
Trust what you know. You've been educated well. Now, show them you know what you're talking about. Don't rush yourself -- stay calm, and breathe.
I'll keep you in my prayers tonight.
Hope you're already in bed and sleeping. Know you'll do well tomorrow, but be sure to let us all know how it went.
I bet it went much better than you expected.......belated good luck wishes
Should be about to the end now. Maybe tired after a sleepless night and needing to catch up on sleep. Hey Kim....we are waiting to find out how the day went.
Well everyone...it is over and I passed!!! Yippee!!
Congratulations Kim!!!!!! We knew you could do it.
Now you can breathe, and celebrate!!
Great news! I had no doubts that you would be successful, but I know you must be very relieved to have it officially completed.
Congratulations on being past this hurdle. We never doubted for a second that you could do it, but it's nice to be on this side of it.
Well, our hats are off to Dr. Kim!
Now, can you come out & play w/us @ Aunt Anne's?
Congrats, girl!!!!

Thanks everyone! Of course I was out celebrating last night. :) The plan for now is to stay here, I will be starting a postdoc in January and then looking for another position within the year. After that....who knows where I will end up!
Yee haw!!! Dr. Blue Eyes you definitely have to come to the round up and celebrate.

Dr. Kim,
You are awesome girl!
Now on with your life, after all that studying and testing.
We are all proud of you.
Charlene
I worked for a vet in Waco before I married the DH, and it made me wish I had done something in that field when I was younger. Very rewarding feeling I am sure to accomplish what you have. We look forward to seeing where you finally settle.
BTW, that vet is now one of our TX State Representatives in Austin!
Okay, Sheila, I'm really curious -- who is the vet? My folks lived in Waco for 30 years and were involved in politics for the entire time. You can Dmail me if you don't want to say it publicly. Or ignore me, if I've been too nosy. LiseP
Lisa...His name is Charles "Doc" Anderson. Also answers to Dr. A and Charlie, Lol! He was dark haired when I worked for him, but still a very nice person as he was a boss. DH and I went down for the opening session this last year, we've always kept in touch with him and Sandie since I worked for him in the mid 80s.

Sheila, thanks for satisfying my itch to know who the vet/state rep is. I had in mind someone else, but I couldn't think of the name and still can't, I just know it wasn't Anderson. My dad was on the opposite side of the political fence as your Doc Anderson, lol, but after reading his short online bio, he seems like a pretty nifty guy. Thanks for the link.
Lise...LOL! Understood.
