Plant ID

Arlington, TX

I know this is a poor image but I have been wondering what this little plant is since it bloomed this spring. It is less than a foot tall with elongated leaves. It bloomed for about 2 months very early in the spring with dainty and numerous pale pinkish/lavender blooms. They were about 12-16 inches tall and very long lasting. It just put out this one little bloom. It looks like a phlox?, but not one that I am familiar with.

It does look like phlox, maybe Phlox pilosa, Prairie phlox, but I am not sure.

After looking at the link, it is phlox pilosa. It is the type with the pointed petals (some looked round in the pics). I am pretty sure I bought it at the FW botanical gardens plant sale a year ago. It is a fantastic little plant that has a very early and long bloom period.

They were nearly that tall. Check out a seed catalog, there are some tall varieties to plant. I am a yellow person myself.
