Clay and P. incarnata

Council Hill, OK

I read an article when I first became interested in Passiflora, (sorry I can't cite it), that said P. incarnata had a strong affinity to clay. So strong that it would grow into the sides of a clay pot! Although I don't have empiracle evidence to support the claim yet, I am wondering if other Passiflora are known to have strange affinities to other soils or minerals, and if so, this would be the place to find out. It's this lack of blooms everyone experiences that keeps me agitated. Any information of this? (I just had to post my favorite P. incarnata)
