Sharing cuttings?

Muskegon, MI(Zone 5a)

Anybody sharing cuttings this year?..I lost about 20 plus plants this last winter and would love to replace and add to what I have..I sure would appreciate any help...I also passed on the obsession of brugmansias with 3 more people in my town....I knew how they would feel the minute they smelled that bloom....Judy

Hi,
I am new to Brugsmanias . I have a Datura that has a very light bluish purple color on its pedals with a white center. It is has flowers that go up and some flowers that go down. I am a little confused , what is it?
Please, I am also interested in cuttings for postage, I am not picky which ones or I can send seeds for my CrazyDatura Plant . I have many this year. I am also trying some cuttings. I will see how that goes. Please let me know to my d-mail.

Hi Debbie, what you just described is a Datura not a Brugmansia, they are in the same family and you have to be careful when getting them because some peope call all of them Brugmansia, the ones that hang down is the real one, Datura flower goes upright, and they have spiney seed pods that pops open when ready and grows anywhere, farmers consider these smelly weeds *LOL*
you will not find that color on Brugs, wish you could, also Datura will come back next year in cold climate like we are but Brugs must be brought into the warm for the winter or the will die, you can keep them going like I do or you can let them go domant in a room that does not go below 50 water lightly once a month. I hope this helps.

I have several potted stokesia that I was planning to take to the Southern Appalachian Round Up I think it was called off. Anyway, I couldn't go because of a knee injury.
Last winter I lost my brugs in my little greenhouse because the electricity went off in the middle of the night. We had backup propane heat for the house but forgot to start up one of those little tent propane heaters in the green house.
I only have 3 now. I would like to replace my Mountain Magic, Charles Grimaldi and my yellow whiskers, at least. But I am willing to take named others. I have about 6 of the stokesia to trade. Help!!
Oh, I found my list of others I have had or want. Grand Marier,, Lichtergest (a white by Monika), Painted Lady, Estella Gold,, and Spellbound.

I have some Charles Grimaldi cuttings if you want.

It ends up I have misnamed one of my survivors and it is indeed, Charles Grimaldi. I got several other from another DGer, but am afraid they will not make big tall plants. The one I want the most is Mountain Magic, from below the Y. I know that sounds like "beggars shouldn't be choosers" but my property is so steep and therefore terraced. So you can't see the shorter brugs for the front wall of each terrace. Anyone? Puhhhllllleeease!!
