How much chicken manure should I spread on my garden??

Fowlerville, MI(Zone 5b)

Once I have my garden cleared and ready for winter, I want to spread chicken manure in the garden so it can "age?" over the winter. Does anyone know how much chicken manure I should put on the garden?? Is there a formula like..... so many pounds per square yard, etc.? Thanks for any help you can give! ~:>

If you want to be precise, the book said 50 lb for 100 squarre feet. I do not follow much quantities I use a large scoop and I spread it evenly, how you are going to allow age during the winter should be ok for spring

Remember that althouh this is the best manure for the garden, as it contains high amounts of nitrogen in addition to phosphorus, potassium and other nutrients. But I'd be careful to spread smaller quantities where my tomatoes and potatoes ( any solanacea really) will go, they do not respond well to high nitrogen fertilizer, they look lovely and lush but not enough fruits, so use smaller amounts in those beds
