Jasminum grandiflorum 'Single' "Poet's Jasmine"

Wrightstown, NJ(Zone 7a)

I just got this baby last week and it is blooming already. I am so amazed but happy to see it so happy. The odor is very rich and rather strong but sweet. For such dainty flowers they really have a strong fragrance. Love it.

That's one I've been looking for. Where'd you get it? I have J. grandiflorum aka J. affine and also J. officinale. Got the last one from kartuz greenhouse. Flowers very small with little scent. It's supposed to be the most cold hardy, but I'd prefer more fragrance in that space.
You wouldn't have a 2nd one would you? could trade for J. affine or J. auriculatum.

Kevin - Hmmm, I should check to see if that's one I DO have...you know it's yours (cuttings though) if I do. JB - Kevin trades wonderful plants...you'd be very happy with anything he sent - if you did have an extra of what he's looking for.

I have been answering Kevin and none of my posts are showing, I wonder if this one will.

Kevin, please do not think I did not reply to your post of Oct. 9th. This is the second one I have found disappeared from Oct. 6th to the 9th. I have no idea where they went, but people must think I am very lacks in my posting replies. I know I answered yours because I even thought maybe I could take a cutting for you, but the plant is still too little and I do not want to do that at this time. I sure will if you remind me. Please send me a Dmail telling me what you need and I will file it with my other notes and promise to send you a cutting.
This has been a great year for both Jasmine and Gardenias. It certainly made me happy. Our weather was extremely wet and warm this summer. Please keep in touch and do not forget to Dmail me with what you need. I suppose you have almost everything I have, but if not I am certainly willing to share. I lost a few this summer due to the intense heat in the greenhouse and on the deck. Talk soon again. JB

Oops! I need to keep checking!
I've had something funny happen the last 2 days; old postings are now showing up in my watch list.
How big is your plant now?
I'm headed outside with a ruler to photo this one jasmine I bought from kartuz.

Photo #1 little to no scent.

Photo #2. This is supposed to be the cold hardy type of J. officinale. Nearby it is my winter flowering jasmine which is in poor shape. Likely from sandy soil, lack of organic material, nematodes or all 3. I can't see that making a difference in the scent tho.
