Fayette, MO(Zone 6a)

Well, I finally got my little fence jumping heifer home! My best friend's hubby and I took his 4 wheelers and found the herd of cattle. Then came back to my place and disassembled part of my new corral, loaded it on the back of a very large trailer and pulled all of that to the pasture where my little heifer was. We then assembled that in the middle of the pasture and lured my little heifer into the corral with a nice bucket of corn. She is still very gentle. Then unhooked the trailer we hauled the panels with back to our place to hook up the stock trailer and back over to load the heifer. She almost walked right in the trailer. and then home , rebuilt the corral and then let her out of the trailer and into my very tight corral! I would be so amazed if she jumped that. I'm so tickeled to have her home.
Yesterday, I figured we would be pretty hungry after working to get that heifer home so I thought I would have a nice pot of homemade noodles made for us when we came home. I had to use up some eggs.. and a nice home grown frozen hen that really needed to be cooked up. Well, I found a new bag of Gold Medal flour(where did this come from?). So I rolled out my noodles to dry and came back a little later. I sure thought I had rolled them out thinner than that, but oh well. I cut a few up and threw them into my boiling pot. They almost blew up! I couldn't figure out what I had done! They tasted ok, but not as wonderful as usual. Finally I looked at the flour sack and low and behold: SELF RISING FLOUR! My hubby had gotten into making beer bread last year , and I had almost completely forgotten about it.. You should have seen the whole pot of boiling puffy noodles!
Well, it's that eyuky Monday morning. Off to my 8-5 job!
Have a good day!
