I saw one Monarch in western Bexar Co., Texas yesterday. The first I've seen since spring. Normally I would have seen many more by now.

I love the journey north monarch and hummingbird research maps. Especially the monarch 'roost' map. Looks like Iowa is a main pathway and roost place for the Monarchs. Lots of roosts reported there...
Yes, I did. The Monarchs went to the west. Maybe we'll get a few stragglers! We do have one kind of migrating butterflies, however...the snouts are coming through...one of their periodic migrations. Kind of like going up the down staircase...some years they go north in the fall!
