How was your day...184..???

Rowlett, TX(Zone 8a)

Sorry I have nothing much to add here, I have been pretty busy lately trying to get the outside cleaned up and ready to start bringing things inside. I know its way too early yet, but hate to leave everything until the last minute. I am cleaning up some of the dead/dying plants, trimming, pulling weeds, etc...things that I let go because its been too dang hot. We are getting such nice rains..that should really fill out the pecans this fall. So many dropped this year because of a bug that gets into the shuck ( or shell or whatever its called) and causes it to be no good. Turns black and next thing you know its laying on the ground. Course the nut inside is no good either. I still think we will have a decent crop this year. I also harvested 5 pomegranates....not bad for a first year, huh? LOL....couple watermelons, persimmons arent ready yet, tomatoes are starting their fall growth and so we have flowers and little tomatoes once again.

Besides all the yard work, I also am trying to get the patios cleaned up a little and ready to move the plants in. Right now there is not much room, so some things (potting tables, etc..) are going outside to make more room. DD has several of her large plants here, I told her I was going to freecycle them if she didnt take them home. They are getting much too big. She leaves them here in the summer because they love the shade, then also in the winter because she doesnt have the room inside..and she still calls them her plants..lol. She had a fit about the freecycle and said she would take them home.

Still have aquafit every morning, also am getting ready for the Seattle trip. I must be getting anxious abuout it because I dreamed about it last night. (Not crazy about flying).

Sorry I cant comment to everyone..believe me, I read everything, but retained very little..

Debbie, I sure hope you will get that furnace chimney fixed..thats a dangerous situation you have and how lucky to find it before more damage was done to you and the rest of the family.

Here is a pic of some of the plants outside..
