Philodendron trade

Covington, LA(Zone 8b)

I am looking for Philodendron lemon lime--having both solid yellow leaves and possibly some solid green leaves. It has other names as well. I have philo Brazil, philo micans, and a thick stemmed cutting with roots starting at the leaf nodes from this golden pothos to trade. And a trade list of other stuff.

I have LemonLime, but can't send it to LA. Sorry. Hope you find it.

Where did you get it?

I got it last March here at the local botanical garden festival in my town. I am getting ready to plant it in the ground, I finally found a space for it. I will take a picture of it and see if we are taking about the same plant. I had someone trade me a philo several years ago (its been about 4 years now) that they called Lemon Line which is really Moonlight. I think that this new one is the real Lemon Lime. Its a very fast grower with very different leaves and an extremely fast climber

Not fair you get to plant yours outside....blasted mid-west winters!!!!

Right. I don't think moonlight climbs. The philos Brazil and micans climb very well.
I always wanted a golden pothos that had a large leaf with a thick stem. I have seen many living in greenhouses all year. I assumed that the root had to be large to produce a large leaved plant. I got two 4'' pots of pothos, grew them in a12" pot for 1yr then repotted into a 24" pot the next spring. Voila! Worked like a charm. Next spring I will do the same with Brazil.
Having a little winter is a good break from the intense heat of a coastal summer but It would be soooo nice to leave my plant out all year long!

I've got the pothos that has white variegation instead of yellow, and some of the leaves are a foot or more long with 1" diameter stems. They are part of my huge Royal Palm "totem" that is, I guess, 50 feet tall! Many of the pothos have gone all green and have leaves near two feet long with some slits like Monstera leaves have. Some of the stems are so large I have to use loppers to cut them.

If the photo in your picture is Lemon Lime, that is not the plant I have as Lemon Lime. I am working in the GH now, I will get a photo

50 feet tall? oh honey how tall were you gonna make the ceiling in my greenhouse? LOL

Covington, LA(Zone 8b)

No, the photo is golden pothos. BUT I just looked at Glasshouseworks. What I am looking for is philodendron scandens aureum. I have seen sites where P. scandens aureum is called Lemon lime. There are 2 other philos on the same page that I want. Maybe I will see what the sale prices are. Unfortunately, I have gotten tiny starts that were over priced from GHW in the past.

I have the yellow variegated pothos which is a bit invasive in my climate. Some of my plants are up to 20 metres (about 65 feet) high in trees. The leaves get to about 80 cms (about 32 inches) along the midrib. They send trailers down all over the place which reach the ground and take off in all directions. In the dry season I cut them off and leave them in the driveway. The hot sun and crushing them soon finishes them. In the wet season I roll them up and put them in the deep freeze in plastic bags. But they're worth having, if you keep them under control.

This is the plant that I purchased labeled as 'Lemon Lime'. It looks nothing like an Epipremnum (what is commonly called pothos). The leaves are bright chartreuse green and elongate. Its still young but imagine this plant with larger, longer leaves

Gothqueen,

Your Lemon-Lime plant is a Philodendron hybrid, so no surprise that it looks nothing like pothos. It may be an unnamed McColley hybrid, as his nursery produced and released a lot of those back in the 1970s, many of which were chartreuse or lemon-lime colored. I know of at least one that is being produced commercially.
