Purple bloom

Hello everybody... This is the first flower of a purple hibiscus that I grew from seed and I am most proud and had to share!! First day I noticed it....

2nd day...

Third day (1)...

Third day (2)... can you tell I am excited? =P

Fourth day (today)... finally!!!

I am not sure. I honestly bought the seeds off of ebay as "Lavender Rose of Sharon Hibiscus Syriacus". I was skepticle if they would actually turn out purple since the seeds aren't always like the parents as well as not knowing what was potentially cross polinated. I was pleasantly suprised. :)

Lovely bloom, pureplants. It is fun to watch something grow from seed. Thanks for sharing with us.

Ahh my favorite color. I recently received a hardy hibby called "Plum Crazy" -can't wait to see it bloom next year ;-) Love the progression pics also.
