Mosquitoes

Chapin, SC(Zone 7b)

The mosquitoes have almost carried me away this week. Will our predicted lows of 49 be enough to kill them?

Won't kill them, but slow them down a bit. This year, at least in my neck of the woods, the mosquitoes haven't been as bad as in previous years.

one thing that I have used this year (with some good success) is the small cedar pellets from lowes. Its made by a company called green light. You also get a pleasant cedar smell in the area. Assuming you like cedar! It wont kill them but it will drive them away, as well as some other insects.

worse here this year. very very bad.

They were bad where I lived. Haven't noticed them since it has cooled down. I was using OFF a lot. I take my 18 month old daughter outside to play a lot, and had to absolutely keep them off her. They would be after me at noon if I was outside in the garden. Ridiculous!

Also, had to be made sure to keep the pets on heartworm prevenative. The little buggers were always biting their ears.
