Seen the males around about the same time.
CLOSED: Female American Redstart?
Fall plumage Blackpoll Warbler I think
Not American Redstart. Also doubtful about Blackpoll Warbler, that shouldn't have those conspicuous white eye lids. I'm thinking probably immature Pine Warbler, but not 100% sure.

Thx Resin! In my field guide a Pine Warbler is the best match, guide also states that they would not be seen in Ohio, but may have been coming from Michigan or Canada with migration.
Sibley's Bird Guide has Pine Warbler mapped as breeding in your part of Ohio!

Ill mark that in my field guide, the range map for them in the guide leaves Ohio blank. Thanks!
Scratch that, I didnt look well enough at the range map, its light gray(over Ohio) which the guide says/means migration scarce or rare. I guess I got lucky then. lol Guess I will go and get those reading glasses I need. :|
This one off wikipedia shows about the same as Sibley, with them breeding around the Lake edge of Ohio where you are (I looked up to see where Sandusky is!):

Thanks for the link. I dont actually live in Sandusky , just outside of it. Cedar Point would be the only thing interesting about the place, tourist town.
