I've had this triandrus Daffodil for over 20 years, originally from Dutch Gardens, and can't recall the name or find it in any searches. The characteristic I thought would make it easier to find is that it has doubled cups. I've had it in my mind for a long time that it is a sport of Thalia, but I can't recall where I read that. Any help in IDing it would be greatly appreciated.
Some blooms have more doubling in the cups than others, as you can hopefully see in the pic. I have a tough time capturing white blooms in pics, usually either sun or the flash bleaches out the shot, but some detail shows in this one.
Looking for Daffodil ID
Could it be Berchigranges? It wasn't registered until 2007 but may have been around a long time before that. Good luck. Patti

Thanks, Patti, that sure does look like it, only the description says it can have multiple petals as well as a doubled cup, and I've never seen extra petals on this one. I didn't even think to search the double division- its kinda confusing when they belong to 2 divisions. I've had this one so long, I figured it would be easy to find. And have thought that I would see the name and recognize it, but that is probably a stretch with my memory, LOL.
Oh, those are just wonderful :) Just so pretty for a white flower :)
With your permission, I'd like to send your photo to some people in our Georgia Daffodil Society. (If I can figure out how to copy it from here.) They always seem to come up with the names of hard to recognize daffodils. Maybe they can help.
My exposure to daffodils has been very limited and typical I suppose. So much so, that I didn't even realize it. But when I went to Holland this past April, I could not believe the different varieties of Daffodils over there. I had recently been to our Georgia Daffodil show here at the Atlanta Botanical Garden and, of course, they were all wonderful. But many of the varieties in Holland were so different. Not necessarily better, just different from what I see at shows in the South. If you don't find a name from familiar sources here in the states, you might want to take a chance and ask abroad. You never know what someone may have brought back on a vacation a couple of decades ago. That would have only been in the '80s.
That is such a pretty double cup. Not overly stuffed with extra petals. So dainty. Hope you find the name.
I'd be thrilled with any help, so yes, feel free to use the pic. Sure wish I had a better one. I'm pretty sure I put some of those bulbs in your box for the swap, so maybe you'll have better luck next spring getting a pic :-). In the last few years I've been blown away by modern Daffodil hybridizing- and the Dutch are the world leaders in that, I bet there are lots of varieties there we don't see often. Some American hybridizers have done ground breaking work the last several years too. I've considered sending a pic to Dutch Gardens, and see if they have any idea since that's where the bulbs came from originally.
