I photographed this bird in the Dune area of Montrose Point Bird Sanctuary in Chicago. It seems like some sort of Sparrow.

I don't think it's a Sparrow, not with that little top-knot. He/she is adorable though!!
I'd say Swamp Sparrow
Only thing I can come up with is a Song sparrow, the bill/beak doesn't seem right though. Someone else may come up with an answer.
LOL goes to show just how little I know...learning every day though!!
Thanks for the leads. I am leaning towards juvenile Swamp Sparrow. He/she is puffed up, which is skewing the look of the head. Most of the markings are consistent with a young Swamp Sparrow.
