I would love some cuttings!!!
I'd love to have any type cutting you have to share... will be glad to pay postage Trish
honeybunch. . are you water rooting the two? or in dirt now? keep me posted on their growth.
I have them in water right now.... gonna find a pot for them next time I go to town....
I've been rooting my cuttings in a rubbermaid container around the back of my house. . just neglect them was my motto. . but I tried something different and it is working so much better!! I use the wet blocks for floral arrangment in the bottom of the bucket, soak them down, then stick the cuttings in the floral block... they stand straight and root EVER SO QUICK!! PLUS!!! the mosquitos aren't making the water home...must be something in the green blocks! what ever works . . .works for me!
From what I have read, many who go "herb" use this method and like it very much. You just need to be very careful that if you remove the plant from the oasis that you don't destroy the roots.
Hmmm... I never thought about it before, but I bet there is something in the floral blocks, to keep them from attracting mosquitos to floral arrangements.
theraglady, I would love to have some cuttings, just not sure what PM, means.....LOL anyone have a class for me on remedial abbreviations....LOL Sorry.....
No problem paying postage if that is what that means, or
No problem posting here or
No problem swapping some cuttings or
No problem dmailing you (can't be that)....LOL
HELP.....LOL
happygarden, Pm means private message, DM is davemail. You can click on a name and it will take you to a list, just click on d mail to send that person a private message.
For those who have paid, all but one has been filled. I am holding off on Bettys to try to replace some she lost to critters.
For those who have sent a specific list of what you want, I can't do that. I have cuttings as I take them and most of the ones on peoples list where either not yet available in the US or I had never heard of.
It is a lot of work to cut, label, then I dip in rooting gel, wrap in damp tissue paper, then plastic wrap. They then get wrapped in newspaper, then boxed, addressed and loaded in the car and off to the post office. I was doing this to ehlp people get new starts, but I am not a store, just a gardener wanting to share. I do work full time and have a family.
I recieved 28 responses and only 4 so far who just wanted a nice box of cuttings.
For those whose orders are being sent out this week, I have added a nice goodie bag. They where left over from the North east plant swap so I am sending them along.
If you have not yet paid feel free to email me with questions, but please don't email asking for cuttings of Angels flight varigated, or similar brugs.
theraglady, dang the one thing I didn't think it was and it was......never was a good guesser.
I am always amazed every time I get ready to mail a plant how much blasted time it does take to get it done, it is an amazing amount of work.
I would also like to inquiry about some cutting of brug.
I'm sending you a d-mail
cj
Thanks you
I am working on there some every day, I made two trips to the post office today. Once I get all the ones who have paid out on Monday I will contact a few more people.
Ok great
I have to cancel this offer as of 5:00 P.M. tomorrow oct 6. The payments for postage have been coming in one every day or two. I can;t go to the post office during my lunch hour every day and don't feel it is fair to those who have paid to wait for others to get postage payments in. I will accept the next 5 or 6 who contact me and get paypal payments to me and then end it. I feel bad, but I didn;t intend for this to linger on for two weeks.
I have shipped 8 more boxes this morning and still have two to pack and ship. My wonderful husband was helping me and we had a label mix up. I hope I got everyone who has paid, but if you have not recieved your cuttings by this Saturday please contact me. I think we have packed and shipped 38 boxes. If you have not yet paid, please contact me to see if I have any cuttings left. I have several who prefered to pay by mail, but I have not yet recieved any of these payments,.
A big Thank You is due Eddie Stiltner for the seeds. He brought a bag full to the NE swap and I didn;t know what to do with all of the left overs. Once I decided to offer cuttings this year I thought that would be a good way to find good homes for the seeds. Eddie post here as Eddiewayne.
Good luck with the cuttings, keep them warm and give them lots of light.
I mailed my payment on the 6th. Let me know if you've received it yet;~)
Kelly
Thank you Brenda & Eddie. For my treasures.
Whoohoo! I can hardly wait lol : )

Veronica

Christie
My cuttings and seeds arrived safe and sound! Thank you so much!
Kelly
Same here!! They are all potted up and looking happy!!
mine are here safe and sound. in water as only one rooted along the way. he was out the paper towel so he got potted.
thanks for the seeds too. Marie
The ones I got from you a couple of weeks ago are all doing great. Need to take a photo and post. I put all mine in potting mixture as soon as I got them. They are sitting in my kitchen window and all of them have leaves and are looking very happy!! Thanks so much for going to all the trouble to make these available.
I am so happy everyone is pleased. It was hard. Half way through this I caught swine flu. My husband did do a pretty good job of getting this out for me. I ended up shipping 38 boxes of cuttings, and don't think I will ever do it again. I usually just compost but had so much this year.
Thank you to all who understood the delay and I hope they bring you all as much pleasure as they have us.
Brenda, I hope you have fully recovered. I hear it takes quite a while to feel like your old self again after getting it.
Brenda so sorry to hear you had the Swine Flu!!! Hope you are on the road to recovery! I really do appreciate all the trouble you went to in order to share your wonderful brugs! You are a a very generous person. Just want you to see that all mine are alive, well and doing great. They should be wonder plants next spring. I will do my best to take care of them.
Brenda, my son had the flu really bad, don't know if it was swine flu or not, they don't test here, but the medicine his doctor gave him made him all better in 3 days! He had a fever of 104, and after 3 days of Tamiflu his fever was down, he had to take it for 5 days.
Are taking that too?
Get well soon!
Christie
I am fine, it did take a while. I can't believe how many people are sick this early in the year.
Still no flu vaccine here.
