Off Topic - Photos from my vacation!

Hi all...

I have been away so much lately! Sorry I have not been in to visit or post, but I ahve been so busy and so much going on! I hope everyone is well! I did see that Dimmer has been ill... hope you are feeling better now! Also to others... congrats on the babies and birthday wishes to some! :o)

My family and I went on vaction to Chincoteague Island in late August and I wanted to share my photos with you all, if you are interested! Not a single gessie... as a matter of fact, not a single flower! But I think I got some really great photos and I hope you all will take a look! It was awesome and we had such a great time!

Thanks for the tour, I may have to visit there, it looks beautiful.

Loved all your pictures, but .... what was the critter kind of at the first of the pictures. It sort of looked like a duck bills, and then something else, and I have no clue!

Was it one of the "critters" the girls were holding out of the touch tank? One is a whelk, and one is a horseshoe crab.
Let me know if that is what you are referring to, or if it's something else.

You have a beautiful family. It looks like you all had a wonderful vacation. The animal shots are really nice too. Enjoyed the sand critters and the horses.

Oh, I loved your slide show! I grew up in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area and went to Chincoteague once as a child but all I remembered about it was the wild horses, too young at the time to appreciate the beautiful scenery!

What a lovely family you have, and either you or your hubby is a great photographer too. You should have had someone take a family photo for your vacation album. The photo's of your beautiful daughters are wonderful and all the wildlife photo's are great too.Thank you so much for sharing your vacation photo's, they make me want to plan a trip there in the future!

Lin, I didn't know you grew up in Virginia! Small world!

The last day we were there, we all donned white shorts and a different colored T-shirt, with the plan to find a spot to set-up a family portrait shot. As you can see, it never happened!

You got some great pictures! I love them all, the ocean, the marshes, horses and lighthouses - some of my favorite things...
I would definitely like to visit there someday...thanks for sharing

Hey, i visited Chincoteague the last week of July when they had the pony swim/run. The islands are just awesome! And I also got a pic of the lighthouse! love, julie

We are going back in November for the migration! Can't wait!
