That is a Common Moorhen - Gallinula chloropus. It is probably a young bird. As an adult it will have a red beak with a yellow tip,

Thank you!! How cool, never seen one before.
Its old common name in US Field Guides was Florida Gallinule...odd choice of names for a bird that can be found almost everywhere in the world except Australia and Antarctica.
