Hybrid Pudica

Baton Rouge, LA

I am not sure if this has another name, but this is my first blooms on my Hybrid Pudica. The flower has a pink tinge on the outer edges with a pink band on the back of the petal. The buds are a deep pink before they open. It has a strong nutmeg scent. It really smells good.

Another view of the same flower.

The plant itself is attractive. It looks like it will be compact like the Pudica, but it has heavier shiny green, wavy leaves. The leaves are not fiddle shaped like the Pudica.

It has a nutmeg like scent. It is strongest when the flower first opens and then seems to diminish some.
