My older EE hen had a bald spot on her neck when I first got her. In the month that I've had her, it barely filled out. Now, the feathers on the other side of her neck seem really brittle and keep breaking. They also seem to be covered in white powder? Other than that, she seems perfectly healthy. Lots of energy, eats well, she hasn't laid an egg yet....any thoughts on what could be going on with this hen?

Check her neck closely for mites. If she has mites that can lead to loss of neck feathers.
