on the wing makes me wonder. My books show the green head and white "necklace", so I'm pretty sure its a mallard, but I don't see the bluish area on the wing in my books, what gives?
CLOSED: pretty suire these are mallards, but the bluish area . . . .
All Mallards ..3rd pic is a female, not sure if the others are juveniles
Hack, Mallard iridescent colors will vary somewhat depending on the sunlight. Here is a link explaining the blue coloration on the Mallard. Plus, domestic Mallards will have many color variations as a result of inter-breeding between feral and indigenous Mallards.

Yep, Mallards. The blue patch on the wing is called the speculum.
Resin
Thanks linth and Resin. The web site was very nice and it also referred to the speculum as Resin pointed out.
