Help ID this squash

League City, TX(Zone 9a)

I have a "variety" packet of squash seeds and this is the most mature fruit I have so far. I planted on 07/15/09 and it's suppose to mature in 100 days. Any ideas as to what it is? Note the thin, white lines that run north-south so to speak. Thanks.

My how you've grown! I thought I had placed a pair of sunglasses securely next to this pumpkin but the sunglasses apparently rolled over. Anyway, It must be about 14" wide at least. It still seems a bit soft but my gardening log indicates that the maturity date is October 23rd.

Hopefully it is "good eats".

Well, have you been able to determine the name of your squash? Ready just in time for halloween!

I never did get a response to this question. However, I noticed (days after my original post) that someone else had posted a similar question, and farmerdill suggested that they might have some sort of white pumpkin and named a bunch of possible cultivars. My pumpkin wasn't exactly white but I thought it might fall in the same category. I still need to research.

Growing pumpkins was a blast, tho.

I guess if you got to enjoy it is the main thing!

I grew winter squash for the first time this year and it was fun! Mine was an heirloom named Black Futsu Squash, so it didn't look at all like yours! HA
I have harvested them but haven't eaten any of (9) of them. This was a nice vine and didn't run all over the place! I'm saving seeds to grow again next year!

It had interesting leaves too, I thought.
