I have several butterfly bushes. Is this the correct
forums to ask questions or need I go elsewhere?
does anyone know this plant's name. It is a buddlei
but do not know the rest. Thanks for any help.
Right forum for Butterfly bushes
Hi there, I've never seen a butterfly bush with flowers like that. It is very cool looking, almost looks tropical. The leaves on it look just like the ones on my butterfly bushes. Have you tried the Plant ID forum? They are really good over there. I bet they'd know that one. : )
No, I was hoping someone here would know.
But I guess, I'll have to check it out.
Thank you.
Rides, I thought the leaf looks like the perenniel salvias. The flowers don't really look like most salvias that are common around here--but salvia flowers do vary. Of course, so do buddlias.
Have you looked at butterfly bushes in Plant files?
Rides ended up having it Id'd in the ID forum here's a link. It was a very interesting result. : ) http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1043397/
I'm going to see if they make seed when the bloom dries. I still can't
believe it is a member of the Mint family. But that is the way with
plants. They are like peple. Sometimes we don't know who the relatives are:-))))
Thanks for the help to All.
It is a Weeping Buddlea (common name)
Very interesting plant. I wonder if the butterflies like it???
I have seen more bees on it than Butterflies.
But it is a pretty bloom. The blooms get to about
10'' long. Quite a pretty bloom.
