Sheer Beauty

Quite a lovely flower with a nice fragrance. I have two branches on this one, both with inflo's that are starting to flower.

Thanks, Terry! This is a first-time bloomer for me. It's very beautiful. Here is a picture of Kukiat's in Thailand: http://www.flickr.com/photos/7305207@N07/424900386/ His climate brings out a bit more red in the flower.

Thank you, Leeuwtje!

Thanks for the picture-but I am still loving yours-its more subtle. Kukiat's is definitely more striking-but also "harder", which is fine, but I like the softness in this one.

Pretty pretty... :)

Hi Dana, they are a really nice size. I'd have to go out and measure, but I think they are at least three inches across, maybe more.

Beautiful pictures clare!
In the heat it will look more like Kukiat's, when it's cooloer it will look more like Clares. It has flowered for me in the spring and summer. Puts on a very nice bouquet. One of my favorites, in fact it is my desktop pic right now.

Beautiful, Davie! Cool six-petalled flower.

I am getting lots more 'Sheer Beauty' flowers opening, but they are currently covered in ash so I don't think I'll go take a picture until I can wash them off. It's raining ash again today due to a large fire near us. I think I'm staying indoors today if I can.

That is gorgeous!

Thanks, Dan!

Here it is today, ashes and all.

Beautiful! What does she smell like?

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

I think she smells very nice, but there is smoke in the air so it is hard to get a clear essence. I'll check it out and report back. Maybe Davie can tell us what he gets from it.

Yuma, AZ

It has a sweet plumeria smell...that's the only way for me to describe it.

Yum! My father has a yellow one that just smells heavenly! Or like gummy bears you choose!
