Asking ~ because I have two different Brunfelsias ~ why DOESN'T it smell? Your blooms look correct but white? Or is the white yesterdays' bloom? That may be why it isn't fragrant... older blooms?

Chantell? YooHOooo ~ does your B. americana sniff?

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

I don't know about this plant except Chantell had it and like it, I'm serious! lol

The one that has white, mauve, and purpe blooms is some kind of brunsfelsia aka yesterday, today & tomorrow, but I don't think the one in my very first post is the same.

I have a YTT plant and if I recall right it did have some scent to it but not real strong

Have mercy...I'm so sorry...been too, too busy. Nery, you doing your sniffin' at night or during the day? This gal is definitely night scented. The one that changes color didn't have any scent as I recall. The one I have has an AMAZING scent...I love her, love her!!! Keven had her tagged as a Brunfelsia nitida aka Lady of the Night http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/113506/ Where did you get yours from? I "did" have an Americana but she died...so sad.

Hiya girlie. I have Americana, it changes from white to vanilla. no scent but I haven't smelled it at night. got it locally. It is still potted, I will put inground in the next couple of weeks.

My two NBJ, which are about 4' x 4' are in full bloom and in exquisite fragrant form.

Ahhh I can only imagine...hoping to see some buds, at least, on my NBJ pretty soon. Last year this happened...I think she had a full flush in the middle of Oct....LOL

Is that one of my baby seedlings? The cream/white ones are fragrant at night. B. australis yes. tod.& tomorrow are fragrant, but in mass such as an 8 ft bush and you'd have to catch it on a good day. They're not always fragrant.

Nah Kevin...I kept one of the Bruns and gave the other one to Becky... The pic up top is the one Nery just bought recently.
