Has anyone here grown Longan from seed?
I read up on it. Says to plant seed right away. Plant no more than 3/4 inch deep or may send up several sprouts.
they usually germinate in 7-10 days. Should keep them under shade cloth for 2-3 years. I looked up "longan seed"

There is a good tropical plant informational site called desert tropicals. It gives detailed info on growing tropicals in AZ. My mom grows lots of tropicals there, she is in the peoria, az area now. I grew them in Phx and Lake Havasu City when I used to live in AZ. Here is the desert tropicals web addy. It is a good site for info no matter where you live.
