This was supposed to be AV 'Senk's Merlot' but obviously it's not. I'm thinking it's still a Senk, though. Variegated bustle-back foliage with a wasp bloom, white with a hint of purple. I can't remember who I got it from, but I'm going to look and see if I can tell. In the meantime, anyone have any ideas of what it might be? Thanks!!
Anyone recognize this AV?
No ID, but wanted to say she's a real looker Amy!
Thanks! I think she's a pretty little thing! I really hate that I don't know her name. She's too pretty to be a NOID. Oh well, nothing I can do. She came tagged as 'Senk's Merlot' and that's clearly not right. Don't you hate when that happens? Well, I'm going to continue growing her because I like her. LOL
I'm going to order some Senk leaves from the Violet Gallery. I had no idea what a wasp was or that they were so pretty and "different".
I think you'll love them! If I had to guess, I think this is Senk's Arctic Fox. The description doesn't mention purple, but the few pics I can find look like there's a bit of purple in the flower. Maybe future blooms will help determine it.
That is not Senk's Merlot. I had Senk's Merlot and she doesn't look like that at all.
I have one too. It just stared blooming. I'm off to my e-bay feedback to see who it came from.

It may have come from Cedar Creek through e-bay, but I have been buying wasps from wherever I can find them. I am nearly finished harvesting Daylily pods so soon I'll have time to catch up with the violets. I have used pollen from this plant on a couple of blooms of BLUETAIL FLY, and a NOID star shaped red standard.
I saw a photo of Senk's Artic Fox that looks like it.
Thanks! I thought so, too! I'm going to look back through my emails. I won a Bingo game last year and got a gift certificate. I'm thinking maybe I got that leaf with that order. Will let you know if I find out for sure. ^_^
the purple could be cultrual,I had a strep that had a green edge turns out it was the lights causing it,same thing with violets, too cool of temps .or too warm, its probally the second one you mentioned, artic fox,
Solved!! I found where I got leaves of 'Arctic Fox'! Whew! I really hated not knowing who this little beauty was!
