Well, I snapped a pic of a male Goldfinch and decided to see if I could make it standout in a black and white background.
Here's my first attempt to enhance a photo using Photoshop Elements 7. I could never have done it with the book called The Photoshop Elements 7 Book, written by Scott Kelby and Matt Kloskowski. Everything in the book is in color and it walks you through the various processes step-by-step. 483 pages of how-to.
It was kinda fun. But I have a lot to learn.

Playing around with Photoshop Elements 7
I can see I left some of the red color of the perch around his toes. Dang it.

Got some of the red out, but now some of his toes lost their color. Dang, it is 2:41 AM! I got to go to bed.
But it is still more fun than a crossword puzzle.

Good so far, Hack. I can tell you're having fun.
I assume you are enlarging it big time when you work on it. It makes it a lot easire to get your brush into the nooks and crannies.

Enlarging - I didn't think of that. Next time!
Thanks
Dave
