Preen

Landisburg, PA(Zone 6a)

Does anyone know if you can use Preen over a newly planted bed of tulips or daffs?????

Poughkeepsie, NY(Zone 6a)

The company probably has a 800 number or email address for wuestions. USE THEM! They respond pretty quickly! I know Scotts does. Take advantage of these services, that's what they are there for!

My answer? It should be alright but ALWAYS read the label on whatever you buy!

I use preen regularly... I just open the lid and start shaking thru the whole garden bed. Have never had a problem on bulbs or new baby plants. it is a slow release afterall...

Preen works by preventing seed germination, its fine for use with bulbs, perennials, or plants. If you have plants in the area that you'd like to reseed, I'd avoid it.
