I have this in my pasture, do you all know what it is?
do you need a closer pic?
CLOSED: CLOSED: please ID
I looks like Gooseneck Loosestrife?
Cathy
It is a pretty blue. It pops up all over the pastures and my Longears haven't touched it.
No chomp marks, so it must not be very good to eat. Think anyone would want seed?
going to have oodles. They pop up where ever they land. in bare spots. thanks.

Gooseneck Loosestrife has a white or near white bloom I'm pretty sure. So it must be something else?
Also loosestrife is very invasive. The blue bloom must be lovely.
Cathy
I'll try to get a better pic. Batteries were low, swaped them out. Let me go see if I can get a better, closer pic.
You should put that last photo on the Identification Forum. That's a good shot for the flowers, leaves, and 'habit' (growth form of plant). You will get an ID very fast. Best not to trade things you don't know what are, esp. those that "pop up where ever they land. in bare spots" -- you may have something that is on some states' Noxious Weed list.

I wouldn't doubt it. Thank you, spin, for the help. I'll
pop right on over there.
Thats a much better photo. It is a pretty bloom.
Cathy
Thank you. I hope it's not a pest. I'm going over to
Plant and Tree Id to see what the plant is. Thanks for the Help.

Here is the USDA page. Heliotropium indicum is not listed as being on any states Noxious & Invasive list. Although it has an entry on the Hawaiian Ecosystems At Risk (HEAR) website, unlikely anyone from HI would ask you for seeds anyway.

Thanks, spin. some of the plants are quite large an
just in the pasture so there is no harm. I'm going to watch the plant this winter. Says it
is an annual. I want to know, if it freezes back I'll know it is. Thanks, again.
