I'm thinking you could be right. The body shape and coloring look right. I always look for white on the tail for confirmation, but I can't see the tail that well in your photos. Here's a collage of some kingbirds I've taken this summer for you to compare.

I'm fairly new, but I think another characteristic besides the white marking on the tail, is that Kingsbird is slightly larger than the Eastern Phoebe and E. Peewee?
