One of my egg customers told me this the other day when I delivered her eggs.She said that in the winter time when she was a little girl they would give there chickens the old sears catalog to peck at so they would not peck on each other and when the eggs were layed sometimes they would have the print of the words on the shells.I loave them old stories could sit for hours and listen to them talk about farm life and such,I really miss my dad and his stories of the farm he lived on.
