I spotted this guy in an extremely rural setting in Hamlin, TX, an hour North of Abilene. His eye and beak remind me of the Brown Thrasher in my Field Guide, but the underbelly looks kind of dark.

CLOSED: Brown Thrasher?
I will say Curve-billed Thrasher.
Bump
Thanks Burd, for bumping me. I think your id is probably correct, but it would be great to get a confirmation.
Resin will ID it next time he's around, will bump until then.
Bumping again lol
Ka-bump!
Hopefully, Resin is okay! Anyone else who wants to take a stab at it is welcome, too:)
I would agree with Curve-billed Thrasher.
Any closer pics from the front Missy?
Ditto to Curve-billed Thrasher.
Resin
Those are the two best photos. I know they aren't great. A new camera is on my wish list:) Thanks, Burd, Pelle and Resin! That is a cool bird. Those orange eyes and curved bill are kind of evil looking.
