Very pretty Elizabeth,it seems like you have lots blooming in your yard right now. I just had my second round of flushes, but we are hot again, so they won't last long.

Hi, I am so glad you got to see this one, I love the bloom on this one, it is really fragrant also, I have maybe, including the seedlings, about 75, our weather is about to change on the 15th, so I may have to dig, a little earlier, than I thought
I am glad, that I cleaned out my small Greenhouse, I may have to use it

I started digging up plants today, I dug up & labeled my cannas, I also dug up about 3 Brugs, potted them up & put them in the shade, so it doesn't stress them, also I have some cuttings getting ready to send out thursday the 17th

I started digging elephant ears last week, planted 3 black lace elderberries today. Seems like for everything, I dig, I have something to plant ..lol..Walmart had knockout roses on clearance for 1.75 each, so I grabbed ten to plant down the front walk. I am gonna wait to dig out my tropical bed, but I don't have near as big of job that you do. Wish I could be there to help...and gab a whole bunch..lol.. and cuddle that grandbaby of yours. Our youngest is 6. I miss having a baby(toddler) around.

I have to take a Pic, of my Elephant ears, they are the monmonth, they are huge, one leaf looked bad, so I cut it, at the bottom there were a bunch of slugs, now I know to check it more often, today I picked a bunch of green cut worms off my brugs, you couldn't hardly see them they were as green as the Brug stems, but I got them

What size pots are your brugs in? I love the picture, and the one in the background. How beautiful.
I know you go out and look everyday. I do. Still waiting for more blooms.

the Brugs I have in pots, are in 3-5gal pots, I do look at them every day, today I am glad I did, I found the green cut worms, some of the Brug leaves had holes in them, I took a good look & there they were munching down, so I got them off the leaves & drowned them, I hope you see blooms soon, I think in your zone you should have about 6 weeks
yet, oh do you have to take yours in? I need to take a Pic of my cannas & Elephant ears, before I dig them up, we really need to live in a tropical zone, with our love of Tropicals

I am so eager to get my new ones in pots. Tomarrow is the day. I will love
to see the pictures of your Elephant ears and cannas. I'm bringing mine in for the winter. I got two in the ground and
so far, two in pots. I'll let you know when I get my other babies in their new pots (3-5 gal) Always a pleasure to talk
about our Brugs.

Ooh, yuck, cut worms! Yeah, we need to live in Hawaii. If I'm gonna dream, I'm dreaming big! I'd love to see pics of your EE's and cannas.I just love tropicals.. I love beautiful foliage and flowers that not everyone else has.
Got my new babies potted up, today.Got them sitting out on the potting bench(old concrete picnic table..lol), getting all the fresh air they can, before I have to bring them in.

Hi ladies
I think I got all the cut worms, it was raining all day today, so I couldn't check all the leaves like I want to, Miss Emily Mckenzie is about to bloom again, tommorrow, I will get some photo's taken, if you like tropicals you will love my castor beans, they are almost 9ft tall now, I am really not looking forward to cold weather, it's like everything I have that's really nice has to be taken in, but this year is different, I have loads of labels, as soon as I take a cutting I put the tag on it
Thank you for your nice comments

Elizabeth

Ladoga, IN(Zone 6a)

Elizabeth, are your castor beans the green ones or the red ones? I have the red ones in the middle of my tropical bed. They are over 7 foot tall, and everyone wants to know what they are. I know what you mean about everything that is nice, has to come in.Tomorrow I am going to spray all the plants that are coming in, with bug spray...hope to get that done a couple more times, before I bring them in, but with this weather, I may not have the time to do that. Please do post more brug pics...you know I love looking at them!
Dee
