I put a whole bunch of these on the seed table at the Roundup, but if you weren't there or were there but didn't get any, now's your chance. I have another big batch dried and ready to go- so anybody who wants some, chime in here! :)
"Chianti" Sunflower seeds up for grabs
How tall are they? The color is gorgeous.
btw, are you still looking for more daylilies or irises?
They're supposed to get 4' to 6' tall, but mine got a little over 7' tall. They seem to really like the nitrogen-rich soil. (Tagro potting mix)
I'm set for iris, but always on the prowl for more daylilies. Especially the bold colors- orange, red, purple, yellow.
Wow, those are tall. I'd love to have a few seeds for next year.
I ran out of time and dirt before the RU, so I'm just getting ready to dig up a bunch of my daylilies now. There are two no-names, and mostly slightly older varieties-I'm not really a collector (no ditch lilies, though!) I'd love to pass a bunch of them on to you somehow or other. But, yes, oranges, yellows, pale yellow, plummy, possibly red.
Cool! Is your address in the Address Exchange? If not, please D-mail it to me, and I'll get the seeds in the mail right away. :)
I would love to have some of your DLs. :) I can PayPal (or mail) you some money for shipping if you want to send the DLs in the mail, I don't think I'll be able to make it down to Vancouver anytime soon. If they go out on a Monday, they shouldn't suffer too bad with it being such a short trip via mail.
Pony, not in the exchange, so I'll drop you a dmail. :)
Very cool. I'd love some if you have extra. I'm in the exchange . . .
You got it! :)
Oh, and I have many hundreds of these, so don't be shy, you guys! :D
Pony, could you save me a few more? We took some for e-wa, but I would love to have a few to put at the back of my dahliah garden next year.
No problem! :)
Thank you. I'll share with my neighbors. I think they'll like them!!
Kathy, I have 50 seeds for ya- all packaged up and ready to go in tomorrow's mail. :)
Julie, give them some room between them and the Dals- they branch out. I had to cut some lower branches off that were hiding the lilies in front of them. ;)
You rock. Thank you.
Aw. Happy to share. :)
Pony, I will plant them at the back of the bed...use them to fend off the forest that seems to want to get too close to my flowers! I am also now the queen of pruning stuff back if it is smashing something else!
hehe. They didn't seem to be bothered by me hacking branches off, so you should be fine. All hail the Pruning Queen! :D
What? Nobody else? 0.o

These are very unique, I've not seen anything like that around here for us.
I'm not from your area, but I was wondering if you had any more left and if I could get some? I would be happy to send a SASBE?????
Janet
Hi Janet,
I do have some left, and would be happy to share with you. D-mail me your address and I'll send you some. :)
I got some at the swap, so I'm all set. Those are beautiful! I've never seen such a dark red sunflower. They will be fun to plant next year.
I really enjoyed them, they were beautiful all summer long. I'll be planting them again next year. :)
