I'm angry and need to vent. Animal abuse case...

I can't give you details because it may come before a judge. Suffice to say we will be taking a kitty who belongs to another family member to get her away from someone else until he can find his own place to live.

I don't know much except she is still a kitten, black and white, and cute as can be. She isn't here yet (they are on their way from the vet) but when she arrives, I will get pics. I made a place in an empty bedroom downstairs where she can be in a quiet place to heal and gather her strength. She has a cut on a front paw and is bruised. The vet has given them antibiotics, pain meds and extra food because she hasn't eaten in 2 days, she's that traumatized. She won't be allowed to use regular cat litter until her foot heals over more. They suggested shredded newspaper which I have done. She has a bed, food and water.

Anything else anyone can suggest for her? She doesn't know me. We have never met. I don't even know her name yet but I will be the one taking care of her until the family member can find his own apt.

I don't understand how people can be so uncaring and mean. It makes me sick to stomach.
