Anyone want seed for Liatris Ligulistylus??

Cincinnati (Anderson, OH(Zone 6a)

Hi, Butterfly-ers!

I have a few extra seed heads to share of this:

This particular liatris is supposed to be a real monarch magnet in the Midwest and East. And fairly difficult to find in nurseries or seed catalogs. I planted it in the garden this year and when the monarchs finally arrived here in Ohio, they went straight for this plant (and I have lots of other BF plants).

This perennial is native to the prairies and likes full sun. The seed can be wintersown; or, alternatively you can stratify it in the fridge for several months and then plant in seed starting pots to have it ready to go into the garden next spring.

I have a few extra seed heads that I have harvested and am happy to send to you (from which you can easily extract the seed).

~~~~~~~~~~~~Just d-mail me with your name and address. And place "Liatris Ligulistylus" in the subject line.~~~~~~~~~~~~
If you need some Asclepias Incarnata seed, mention that in the d-mail and I've got a bit extra of that, too.
Happy butterflying! t.
