Hi Everyone,
Out tades did great this year and I noticed when we left a couple of small skinny tubers in the garden after tilling they sprouted and I have new plants gowing. This made me wonder, is there any way to save the slips or tubers till next year to re-plant?
Thanks,
Susan
Sweet potato question
The potatoes ( and they are roots not tubers) are easy to save. Just cure for a couple of weeks and the store in dry enviroment that holds above 50 degrees. You can overwinter the plants as a house plant. Lots of the old folks used them as a decorative window plant. Just stick the potato in a jar or vase with water covering about half of the root and watch them go.
great, thanks. I will try these.
