American pecan pie!

Has anybody got a recipe for Pecan pie, the one you eat on Thanksgiving day, or has my mother got it confused with something else.
I have hundreds of pure English recipes, from my Grandmothers diary in 1911.
Which I will gladly give out.
My mother still wants a pecan pie recipe, however.
Can anybody help.
