Ginger a possibility?

I live in an apartment and only have a shaded patio (get's a little sun, but not much). I just love some of the gingers I see on here - are they fragrant?

I'm looking at next year's project and want to know if there are pretty gingers that will grow in pots in the shade, that I can take indoors in the winter (I'm zone 5b). Also, any other ideas for pretty but FRAGRANT flowers that I could grow in pots that like shade would be great!

With as little room as you have you may want to go for something that really makes a show, like Brugs.

I am a brug fan and have only had luck with them with more sun exposure than I have. Shade plants are the key.
