I NEED this one!!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL Sue. I meant to send you the pic of it. I knew you would love it. It is a Lali bloom too. LOL

I saw it at Armstrongs. But it was in a large 5 gallon and they wanted $39 I think. Too much for me.

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

Yep, too much, it figures. Gotta find another vendor.

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

I found my vendor!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Ewww - looks diseased! Love clems, but no ones with leprosy.

Happy Birthday, Kell!

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

No way!! Guess it's as they say "Beauty in eye of beholder..."
I love anything unusual, like green blooms, and so many of the coolest looking plants, either the blooms or leaves, are neat looking because of virus'.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I agree. That's just not one of them!

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

Sigh, you are hopeless Victor. :-)
Someone sic his aged friend on him, make him come to his senses LOL ;-)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Hee hee. I'll try to remember to send any diseased plants to you, Sue. ^_^

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

he he, couldn't resist Victor, you know I have the warm fuzzies for you and any diseased plants you send me will be well appreciated.
But look at that cool bloom, looks like it was dipped in green paint!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I can appreciate that, but as someone who actually has to deal with COLD, it appears as if it's going from green to frozen!

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

Hey, I'm cold here, wearing my flannel jacket, warm fuzzy slippers, staring at my loaded orange tree. ;-)

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Down to 80??

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

NO! Thats' South America!
High of 55 today, overnight in the low 40's

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Okay - that is a bit chilly! But at least you're not looking at up to a foot of snow tomorrow! Ugh.

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

I heard, scary stuff for you and all of the East Coast!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

So is your vendor Evey, Sue? She just emailed me that her store is about up and running! What a great deal that we have a friend who sells clematis! LOL

She also told me that you have a great deep purple one in your backyard with an orange rose. I had told her I was getting a Eureka based on your lust of it. So which is that purple one?

Thanks so much Victor for your birthday wishes here as well as your email this AM. I have not answered them all yet. It made for such a nice morning to be thought of by so many so nice people here.

Sue, I also got a call from someone singing me Happy Birthday. I ran to the phone just as they hung up and I thought it was Brin. Later when Brin did call she told me no, not her. So I listened to the song and LOL, the gal had an accent. It was so sweet Kassia! I have not heard from her in so long. What a doll!

PS Victor, do not listen to Miss Sue. It is so warm here. We are spoiled! We do have warm days mixed in with mild winter days but spring is so here. Magnolias, fruit trees and even the Harbinger of Spring is in full bloom. How much more winter do you have still have left? You need to move here ASAP!

I have Warsaw Nike planted with Autumn Sunset.

She is an awesome vendor Kell, just wait until you get orders from her! She's thought of everything.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

So where is your photo of it? She mentioned a fantastic Sue photo.

Yes, I am sure! She is the most organized hard worker and focused person I know. I have watched her on here and she is a zoomer about everything she gets interested in. The exact opposite of that other clematis verndor that was such a disaster for a lot of us. Well, lets not get me started on him. He stills owes me my money back. LOL

Ok, yes, don't bring this thread down, well not any further down than Victor not liking the green tipped bloom....what do men know about color anyways....oh wait, he does have some fabulous Japanese maples....
Here is one shot, it's the first season for both so I hope they are nice and full this year. But I was so pleased they at least bloomed together!

Nice pic, Sue!

I would love to be out there, Kelley! As I get older (47 now! Ouch) my cold tolerance keeps diminishing.

Evey is very nice. She used a lot of my pics on her site. I may try her too, but I prefer starting with larger plants. Debbie from Silver Star is so good and so nice. What you get for the price is tremendous.

Well, Kell,
Again I missed your birthday, So sorry. Doesn't life get in the way. I only come into Dave's about once a week but I always click on your name and check out the wonders you post. You are my idol. I hope you had a wonderful day. (And, OH, I am SO envious of your spring. We still have mounds of snow.
(I bought the house next door, 81 years old and small, but it comes with a yard------I am going to have fun!)

Belated but beautiful for your birthday

HELLO MARIE! I haven't seen you in so long. Thank you so very much! You are too nice!

I am so jealous you bought a new yard! Forget the new house! LOL You had a much bigger yard than I ever had with your old one. I will expect such great pictures from you! You really are going to have such fun. Are you keeping both houses now and both yards? The smaller house can be your garden house. LOL.

That photo is so beautiful! THANK YOU

Oh Victor you are but a baby still! A cold one! LOL You need to migrate to warmth!

I will have to check out Debbie from Silver Star too.
