Looking for other crinums I don't have.
I know these are expensive bulbs this size, BUT, IN all honesty, they were from a trade several years ago, and have never bloomed, so I don't actually know if their HOBOKEN. I have transplanted them to full sun in hopes for blooms next year. I am a good trader and try to trade with reputable traders, so I feel pretty confident these are in deed hoboken bulbs. But wanted to mention this before trading.
I'd like blooming size bulbs in trade of other named varieties of crinums.
Would really like to trade these 3 for 3 other varieties, so I can bring in 3 new varieties. Will gladly ship one bulb to 3 diff people. There is also a 4th bulb that I partially hacked with the shovel, it's still got plenty of roots and will survive.
Thanks in advance.
Kathy
Have to trade: Baseball size, HOboken Crinum
I forgot to mention, YES, i've chopped off the green on these when I transplanted them. It took me over an hour just to dig these up.
I looked them up on the net, and they have a beautiful flower, I'm hoping I get blooms on the two I kept next year.
Kathy-I have crinum milk and honey if you don't have it I can send it with the Japanese iris trade.
Shirley
I got that one Shirley. Thanks though. I also have the Harvy c something and martha washington and ellen bosenquat.
I have the others you mentioned except Martha Washington. What does it look like? I did a trade but they are tiny bulbs off of the mom. It was bought from a nursery they are a member here the lady told me but it is suppose to be the varigated yellow/green. She put up a picture and not any variegation yet on her momma bulb. I wonder if as it ages it does it or should show from the time it is half the size of a pencil bulb. I would think early.
But they don't know when they buy them if the bulb is the correct one either.
I did harvest a couple 100 seeds this year. They are in a huge round dishpan from a dollar store. I put in Drain holes in it. They are the darndist
Just looking for named varieties that I don't have. Sorry, I'm not sure yet what the martha washington looks like, it's been in shade and not bloomed, it's another one I moved recently to full sun hoping for blooms next season.
